Style

GRAPHICS

Black graphic panels put a bold twist on the signature GASGAS red, with a clean white logo standing out against the dark background. Blacked-out touches on the seat cover, handlebar and rims pull the look together, and durable IML technology bonds the graphics into the bodywork so the bike stays sharp-looking ride after ride.

BODYWORK

Red with sharp black detailing, the bodywork is genuinely ergonomic — broad contact surfaces let you grip the bike with your legs and move around freely to ride with proper technique. A grippy black seat cover keeps you locked in exactly where you need to be when you’re on the gas.

HANDLEBARS

Twist the throttle and hold on — black NEKEN handlebars clamp into mounts built to resist twisting if things go sideways, with lock-on ODI grips in a medium compound striking a genuinely comfy balance for every kind of rider.

AIRBOX

A tool-free filter mounting system means less time wrenching and more time riding. The one-piece air intake is stronger and built for maximum airflow — and therefore maximum power — while popping off the left side panel still gets you straight to the filter for a quick inspection or change.

FUEL TANK

Tucked neatly inside the vibrant red bodywork, the fuel tank sits on a beefy rubber support that holds it firm and shields the frame from wear. An integrated fuel pump inside the tank means long motos on deep sand are never an issue for this GASGAS.

FOOTPEGS

Bigger really is better here — these footpegs bring a large surface area for maximum grip while staying less likely to snag on the edge of a deep rut, so you never lose momentum. They’re light, shed mud easily, and keep you in control no matter how gnarly the track gets.

Handling

FRAME

The current frame balances razor-sharp handling with just enough flex to stay comfortable. Lightweight motor mounts fine-tune the feel without touching straight-line stability, and smart material changes — a slimmed-down upper shock mount and reduced wall thickness up front — shave off 300g. It’s a setup developed alongside the GASGAS Factory Racing team, and it stays planted so you can push harder through every turn.

SUBFRAME

The all-aluminium subframe is light and strong, working as one with the mainframe to centralise mass and add significantly to the bike’s overall handling.

TRIPLE CLAMPS

Forged aluminium triple clamps build in just enough calculated flex, via a more forgiving steering stem, to align the fork tubes for smoother action and clearer feedback through the front wheel on any terrain. Adjustable bar mounts with a slightly larger contact area cut the risk of the handlebars twisting, and a glass-bead-blasted finish keeps the clamps looking sharp.

WP FORKS

GASGAS motocross models run a 48mm split-air WP XACT fork tuned specifically for each model. Easily adjustable by hand outside, while a capsulated air spring and pressurised oil chamber inside deliver consistent damping — with an included air pump making a custom set-up simple, and a hydrostop taking the sting out of the biggest landings.

WP SHOCK

300mm of travel lets the WP XACT rear shock soak up even the biggest hits. The same proven shock keeps delivering top-tier performance thanks to years of MXGP development, with settings tuned to work perfectly with the frame straight off the showroom floor — and quick hand adjustments keep dialling in your set-up genuinely easy.

SWINGARM

Cast from a single piece of aluminium, the swingarm looks as good as it performs. A strong chain slider adds durability and keeps the chain running smoothly for longer, while the rear chain guide’s rounded profile helps it glide over the ground through deep, rutted turns. Clear chain adjustment markings make maintenance quick.

Motor

MOTOR

Big power lives here — the MC 450F pulls monstrous torque and peak power from its compact SOHC motor, the same package Jorge Prado rode to a title in 2023. Clever engineering positions the motor to centralise mass inside the frame for genuinely superior handling, so this bike rides and handles like a dream.

CYLINDER HEAD

This SOHC cylinder head packs a lot in — light and compact, it delivers genuinely serious on-track performance. Intake ports are engineered for stronger horsepower, and a fine-punched cam chain adds real reliability.

CYLINDER & PISTON

A lightweight aluminium cylinder and CP bridged-box-type piston are essential to the MC 450F’s strong, smooth power delivery. A 13.1:1 compression ratio bumps performance further, with peak power that’ll genuinely water your eyes.

TRANSMISSION

Pankl Racing Systems builds this five-speed transmission, and it shows — a perfectly engineered shift shaft cuts the effort needed to change gears up or down for genuinely silky shifting, while a sensor on the shift drum works with the EMS to activate a tailored engine map for every gear.

CRANKSHAFT

The crankshaft is key to this motor’s strong traction, enhanced rideability and agile handling. Long 90-hour service intervals come courtesy of a plain big-end bearing built from two force-fitted shells for genuine reliability and durability.

CRANKCASE

This protective housing keeps every internal component safe and secure. Designed to centralise every internal part, the crankcases stay thin, strong and lightweight through a high-pressure casting process.

EXHAUST SYSTEM

The exhaust system is built to deliver maximum performance at minimum weight. A two-piece header pipe wraps neatly around the motor and feeds a short, compact aluminium silencer, with updates to the exhaust and airbox keeping sound levels well within the latest AMA and FIM regulations.

DIAPHRAGM STEEL (DDS) CLUTCH

A robust, reliable Damped Diaphragm Steel clutch sits inside the MC 450F motor, housed in a CNC-machined steel basket. Traditional coil springs are ditched in favour of a single steel pressure plate and a damping system that gets the power to the ground.

Parts

HYDRAULIC BRAKES

Slowing down matters just as much as going fast, which is why every GASGAS dirt bike runs quality BRAKTEC callipers and controls, plus an extra-strong rear brake pedal that shrugs off crashes and ruts. Paired with GASGAS-specific 260mm front and 220mm rear discs, the result is genuinely strong braking — stay on the gas longer, brake later, go faster.

HYDRAULIC CLUTCH

No adjustment needed and near maintenance-free, the BRAKTEC hydraulic clutch delivers consistent action every time. Free play at the redesigned lever compensates automatically, so the biting point stays the same whether the motor’s cold or you’re deep in a moto.

RADIATORS

Strong aluminium radiators channel air efficiently to keep the motor cool, with a large centre tube in the frame cutting down on hoses and keeping coolant flow consistent when things heat up. A new radiator closure also makes maintenance quicker and smoother.

WHEELS

Finished in sleek black and built to take a beating, these wheels are ready for anything. CNC-machined hubs, lightweight spokes and high-strength EXCEL rims deliver real strength no matter how rough the landing or the track.

TIRES

Maxxis MaxxCross MX-ST tyres carry over from the previous generation for good reason — they perform across a wide range of terrain and last, so you’re not swapping them out every other weekend.

Electronics

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS)

This Keihin EMS is genuinely best-in-class — small, light and fast at processing data, it engages a tailored map for every gear, includes a rollover sensor that cuts ignition in a big crash, and feeds the hour meter. Fit a Map Select Switch, available as a Technical Accessory from your local GASGAS dealer, and it syncs instantly for plug-and-play Launch Control, Traction Control, Quickshifter function and two engine maps.

MAP SELECT SWITCH

Add the easy-to-fit Map Select Switch and this GASGAS really comes alive. Launch Control nails perfect starts every time, Traction Control handles hardpack and slippery conditions, and the Quickshifter function allows full-throttle upshifts. Map 1 (Mellow) delivers predictable power suited to just about any rider, while Map 2 (Aggressive) turns things genuinely wild.

CONNECTIVITY UNIT OFFROAD (CUO) & GPS SENSOR

GASGAS puts engine tuning straight into riders’ hands on our four-stroke motocross models — download the GASGAS+ app, pair it with the Connectivity Unit Offroad and the optional GPS sensor Technical Accessory, and unlock every feature in just a few taps.

THROTTLE BODY

A 44mm Keihin throttle body positions its injector for efficient fuel flow into the combustion chamber, with direct cable mounting delivering the instant throttle response every rider wants.

ELECTRIC STARTER

Electric start makes firing up this GASGAS effortless every single time. The stop button shares the same housing as the start button to save space on the bars, and a Li-Ion battery — around 1kg lighter than a conventional lead unit — keeps overall weight down while delivering genuine starting convenience.
