GASGAS EC 300 GP 2026

$19,375.00 Inc GST Ride Away

The GASGAS EC 300 GP turns heads before you’ve even swung a leg over it. Its bold styling draws on the graphics worn by the factory GASGAS that won the 1994 Enduro World Championship, reworked three decades on and bonded straight into the bodywork with IML technology so the look survives whatever the trail throws at it. But this isn’t just a showpiece: black rims and frame, an anodised front axle puller and SUPERSPROX rear sprocket, a Map Select Switch for on-the-fly power tuning, a skid plate guarding the motor, a radiator fan for consistent cooling, and METZELER 6 Days Extreme tyres for grip when things get ugly. It’s the most complete enduro bike GASGAS has built yet.

MPE Motorcycles has been helping Australian riders get more from their bikes for over 30 years, and today that means genuine GASGAS parts, factory-trained servicing and local know-how right here on the Sunshine Coast. Come in to our Baringa showroom for a look, book a test ride, or get in touch to talk finance and trade-ins.

GRAPHICS

The EC 300 GP’s graphics are a tribute to the GASGAS that won the 1994 Enduro World Championship, reworked three decades on and bonded into the bodywork using IML (in-mould labelling) technology. Because the artwork sits inside the plastic rather than printed on top of it, there’s nothing for trail debris to fade, scratch or peel away.

BODYWORK

Red is the dominant colour, with black and yellow accents added to make the EC 300 GP stand out on the trail. The bodywork’s broad, flat panels are shaped so you can grip the bike firmly with your knees regardless of how rough the terrain gets, and a full gripper seat cover keeps you planted, its black sides lining up neatly with the graphics. A red tank cover finishes the look.

HANDLEBARS

Black NEKEN handlebars and matching handguards tie in with the bike’s blacked-out styling, while medium-compound, lock-on ODI grips keep your hands comfortable however long the ride runs.

ANODIZED HARDWARE

The red-anodised front axle puller and SUPERSPROX Stealth rear sprocket aren’t just cosmetic — they’re upgrades most enduro riders fit anyway. The axle puller turns front wheel removal and refitting into a quick job, while the sprocket’s steel teeth on an aluminium centre outlast a standard aluminium sprocket several times over for only a small weight penalty.

AIRBOX

A tool-free filter mounting system means less time wrenching and more time riding. Precisely positioned inlet ducts channel air straight to the Twin Air filter, helping the motor make the most of every breath.

FUEL TANK

The slim, translucent polythene fuel tank lets you check your fuel level at a glance, and a threaded filler cap keeps the seal secure. A rubber support underneath holds the tank firmly in place while protecting the frame from wear.

FOOTPEGS

A larger platform gives your boots more to grip without adding much weight, and the pegs are shaped so they slide over the edge of a rut rather than snagging on it, so you don’t lose momentum mid-obstacle. They also shed mud easily, keeping you in control when the track turns ugly.

Handling

FRAME

The EC 300 GP carries over the standard EC 300 frame unchanged, since its playful handling, sharp cornering and stability at speed didn’t need improving. What’s new is the glossy black powder-coat finish, protected by a set of grippy frame guards.

SUBFRAME

An all-aluminium subframe keeps weight down and helps centralise mass, working with the main frame rather than against it to sharpen the bike’s overall handling.

TRIPLE CLAMPS

Forged aluminium triple clamps build in just enough calculated flex, via a more forgiving steering stem, to align the fork tubes for smoother action and clearer feedback through the front wheel on any terrain. Adjustable bar mounts with a slightly larger contact area cut the risk of the handlebars twisting, and a glass-bead-blasted finish keeps the clamps looking sharp.

WP FORKS

WP XPLOR Open Cartridge forks soak up the bumps up front, and dialling them in to suit your speed, weight and style is straightforward — compression adjusts by hand on the left fork leg, rebound on the right.

WP SHOCK

The WP XACT rear shock still delivers 300mm of travel, refined for 2025 with lower-friction linkage seals and a smaller-diameter linkage bolt that trims a little weight. High- and low-speed compression and rebound are all hand-adjustable, so every rider can set the bike up for their own comfort and traction.

SWINGARM

Cast from a single piece of aluminium, the swingarm is as strong as it looks. A new, tougher chain slider keeps the chain running smoothly for longer, and a rounded chain guide at the rear glides over the ground rather than digging in through deep, rutted turns. Clear chain adjustment markings make maintenance quick.

Motor

ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION (EFI)

Throttle Body Injection (TBI) is what makes the EC 300 such an easy bike to ride hard. The ECU is constantly reading air and water temperature, crankcase pressure, engine speed and throttle position, so the air-fuel mix stays exactly right and the motor delivers clean, maximum power the instant you get on the throttle.

CYLINDER & PISTON

There’s no traditional powervalve on the EC 300 — with TBI fuelling, an electronic exhaust control system does that job instead, opening the lateral exhaust ports just before the main port. The result is smooth, strong, and genuinely rideable power delivery on the trail.

TRANSMISSION

A wide-ratio, six-speed transmission built specifically for enduro lets you take on any obstacle with the right gear ready to go. Shifts stay smooth and dependable in every condition, helped by a gear lever shaped to stop mud from packing in around it.

CRANKSHAFT

The crankshaft is weighted to give a lively, responsive feel without sacrificing torque, and careful balancing keeps vibration low — reduced further by the counter balancer shaft. Less vibration means less fatigue, so you can keep riding longer.

CRANKCASE

A thin-wall design, made possible by high-pressure die-casting, keeps the crankcases light without giving up strength. Moving parts inside are laid out to centralise mass, which is a big part of why this bike feels so good to ride.

COUNTER BALANCER SHAFT

A laterally mounted counter balancer shaft cuts vibration significantly, adding noticeably more comfort on longer, more technical rides.

EXHAUST SYSTEM

Built for enduro-specific power, the two-stroke header pipes are strong, with geometry tuned for performance and ground clearance so they’re less likely to take damage on the trail. The mufflers use an advanced internal design for excellent noise damping and weight saving.

DAMPED DIAPHRAGM STEEL (DDS) CLUTCH

For consistent clutch action and a light feel at the lever, the EC 300 runs a Damped Diaphragm Steel (DDS) clutch with a BRAKTEC hydraulic system. A single diaphragm spring replaces the usual coil springs, and a built-in damping system boosts both traction and durability, while a robust basket and inner hub keep oil supply and cooling to the clutch on point — and maintenance close to zero.

Parts

BRAKES

For braking performance that matches the rest of the bike, the EC 300 GP comes standard with one of our most popular technical accessories — a 260mm semi-floating front brake disc. Paired with BRAKTEC brake systems front and rear, it’s one of the strongest setups you’ll find anywhere in enduro.

HYDRAULIC CLUTCH

Technical sections demand a clutch that performs the same way every time, which is why every GASGAS enduro model runs a BRAKTEC hydraulic clutch system. The lever pull stays light to reduce fatigue, and self-adjusting free play means the biting point feels identical from your first lap to your last.

SKID PLATE

Light, durable and wrapped neatly around the engine, the skid plate keeps the underside of the motor and frame fully protected, so the rockiest, gnarliest trails hold no fear. It’s been endurance-tested through development to make sure it’s up to the job.

RADIATORS

A cooling fan is fitted as standard, so slow, deep or otherwise brutal conditions won’t leave you worrying about the bike overheating. It works alongside the existing cooling system to keep performance and reliability right where they should be.

WHEELS & TYRES

The wheels and tyres have had a real step up on this bike — the black rims alone transform the look of the EC 300 GP. They’re wrapped in METZELER 6 Days Extreme tyres, giving you the traction to clear obstacles and hill climbs with confidence.

OIL TANK & PUMP

No premixing needed. Running at an average 1:60 fuel-to-oil ratio, a single tank of oil is good for hours of riding, and an electronic oil pump — controlled by the Engine Management System — feeds oil into the throttle body based on how hard the motor is working, so lubrication is always matched to demand. A warning light lets you know when it’s time to top up.

Electronics

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS)

Every GASGAS EC two-stroke runs the most advanced Engine Management System fitted to any two-stroke enduro bike, freeing you up to focus purely on the trail. Its Electronic Control Unit (ECU) selects a dedicated map for each gear for the best possible performance, and a rollover sensor cuts the motor in the event of a heavy fall. By controlling ignition timing and fuel injection using data from sensors monitoring intake air temperature, throttle position and coolant temperature, the EMS takes care of fuel, air and oil without you having to think about it.

LED LIGHT

The LED headlight puts out roughly three times the brightness of a traditional bulb, a real advantage deep in dense woodland where light disappears fast. If the mask or headlight takes a hit, the two-piece design means you only need to replace the part that’s actually damaged.

MAP SELECT SWITCH

Terrain and conditions change constantly in enduro, which is exactly why the EC 300 GP is fitted with a Map Select Switch. Map 1 is soft and forgiving for slow, technical sections; Map 2 comes into its own in deep mud or soft dirt. You can switch between them on the move — no need to stop, just select the map you need and get back on the gas.

THROTTLE BODY

A 39mm Keihin throttle body works with the ECU to keep the fuel-air mix exactly right, for a motor that runs clean and crisp with power that builds smoothly and strongly.

ELECTRIC STARTER

Start and stop functions now share a single housing on the right-hand side of the handlebars for simpler operation. A lightweight lithium-ion battery powers the starter motor, firing the bike into life quickly and reliably every time you hit the button.
