WP XPLOR suspension front and rear opens up genuinely unlimited offroad exploration, with 48mm fork legs and 240mm of travel at both ends. Fully adjustable, riders can dial in a personalised set-up based on their own weight, ability and the terrain ahead, giving real confidence on busy roads and remote paths alike.

Outside of daily business

A high-strength aluminium skid plate wraps neatly around the 889cc parallel twin, extending higher at the front than the standard Norden 901’s for genuinely durable protection of both engine and exhaust on the longest expeditions. A centre stand adds extra stability for workshop servicing or parking mid-ride.

The Side Bag Set packs everything needed for the longest journeys, integrating neatly with the bodywork for up to 36 litres of storage without compromising the ride. Waterproof, robust and flexible soft bags make an ideal companion on narrow forest trails.

Geometry

A chromium-molybdenum steel trellis frame is built for distance and day-long comfort, using the engine as a stressed member to stay light, compact and precise. The result is a light feel through tight corners alongside assured stability offroad, with ergonomics tuned for comfort on every voyage of discovery.

Bodywork

Form follows function throughout the bodywork, striking a genuinely purposeful look from every angle whether on the daily commute or a month-long trip. A fuel tank good for over 400km sits low on the machine for uncompromised handling, with a shape that also shields your feet from trail dirt and spray.

Offroad wheels

A 21″ front and 18″ rear wheel take you confidently from tarmac to rough trail, wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres that grip on the road and find traction off it. The wire-spoked, tubeless design keeps things light for easy handling and flexible for comfort, with less risk of a flat costing you riding time, while the large diameter rolls easily over rough surfaces.

LED Lights

Engine

Ride-by-wire throttle delivers exactly the power you need, from an 889cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled parallel twin fitted with balancer shafts for genuine comfort and reduced vibration. Peak output reaches 77kW (105hp) at 8,000rpm with 100Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, delivering real finesse and manageability wherever you point it — backed by 15,000km service intervals and low fuel consumption.

Brakes

J.Juan brakes front and rear pair with a Bosch ABS system for confidence-inspiring, controlled stopping in any condition. Twin 320mm floating front discs with four-piston radial callipers and a 260mm rear disc with a two-piston calliper deliver genuinely exceptional braking, with a cornering-sensitive system that automatically adjusts braking force for safe, efficient stops even at high lean angles.

Suspension

Offroad-specific WP XPLOR suspension delivers 240mm of travel for genuine performance away from smooth tarmac, with forks and shock both adjusting quickly for a set-up personalised to every rider.

Steering Damper

A steering damper adds stability on rough street surfaces or sudden bumps while keeping handlebar control easy offroad, with the frame also provisioned to fit a high-performance adjustable offroad steering damper.

Clutch

The PASC power-assist slipper clutch maximises rear wheel grip under full acceleration and prevents instability or hopping under hard downshifts and braking, while also easing the hand effort needed on the clutch lever when changing gear — genuinely less fatigue for more riding pleasure.

Gearbox

A six-speed sequential gearbox covers everything from walking pace to highway speed, with short shift lever travel and light spring action backed by the standard Easy Shift quickshifter for quick, precise changes. Glass-bead-blasted teeth on 4th, 5th and 6th gears add genuine reliability.

Ride Modes

Individual ride modes automatically engage the matching ABS setting for a genuinely intuitive experience. Street, Rain and Offroad modes, plus the advanced Explorer mode, let you instantly choose the right combination of rider aids as weather and terrain change, each adjusting throttle response, traction control and peak power differently — Street for direct response and road-level ABS, Rain for smooth power delivery and early traction intervention, and Offroad for more wheel slip, no lean-angle sensitivity, and no anti-wheelie interference so you can lift the front wheel over obstacles, with ABS switching automatically to its offroad setting.

Easy Shift

Easy Shift lets you focus fully on the terrain by delivering seamless clutchless up and down shifts through the six-speed gearbox. A sensor on the gear lever tells the ECU to match engine parameters instantly, for genuinely fuss-free changes at any RPM or load, shorter shift times, better rear wheel traction, and full control with both hands on the bars.

Offroad ABS

Bosch ABS’s Offroad mode recognises that unmade-road braking is a different skill entirely, deactivating rear wheel ABS, reducing front wheel intervention, and removing lean-angle data from its calculations — letting you lock the rear to help steer into corners while still using the front brake at full strength on loose surfaces. Only in Explorer mode can you select your preferred ABS setting independently.

Explorer’ mode

Explorer mode comes standard and hands you control over every electronic rider aid to build a genuinely personalised setting, with throttle response, traction control and ABS all individually adjustable and saved to suit your preferences, needs and terrain.

Cruise Control

Handlebar-mounted switches activate cruise control for long, clear stretches of road, freeing you to take in the landscape or simply avoid creeping over the limit. A height-adjustable two-piece seat with heating adds cold-weather comfort, and an aluminium tapered handlebar with six mounting positions gives a 30mm front-to-rear adjustment range for genuinely customisable ergonomics.

MTC

Cornering Motorcycle Traction Control reads lean angle for seamless intervention, trimming throttle input the moment the rear wheel spins faster than the situation calls for, until grip matches the selected ride mode and current lean angle. Explorer mode offers nine levels of slip adjustment, front wheel lift is countered with small, smooth throttle reductions, and traction control can be switched off entirely as your confidence grows.
