Performance

Engine

Built on the latest two-stroke technology, this engine stays well ahead of the 85cc competition. Two engine maps let riders tailor performance to preference or track conditions, with a close-ratio six-speed gearbox and hydraulic clutch rounding out a genuinely competitive package.

Cylinder

A light, durable aluminium cylinder is built around an innovative powervalve system for genuinely unrivalled performance, with the cylinder head tuned for strong bottom-end to mid-range power so riders feather the clutch less in heavy conditions.

Crankcase

High-pressure die-cast crankcases use thinner walls for low weight without giving up strength, allowing a more compact engine layout that brings internals closer to the centre of gravity for sharper handling.

Clutch

A reliable, lightweight Miba hydraulic clutch keeps play consistent even in the toughest conditions, with near-maintenance-free operation and a strong steel basket for genuinely durable, consistent action.

Chassis

Frame

Hydro-formed chromium-molybdenum steel gives this frame real strength alongside precise flex and rigidity for the TC 85’s trademark agility. The engine sits inside to distribute weight effectively, aiding stability and making cornering genuinely easy for young riders.

WP XACT front forks

State-of-the-art 43mm WP XACT AER forks bring exceptional damping and comfort with 278mm of travel, while an air spring in the left leg adjusts easily via pump to suit rider preference, weight and track conditions.

WP XACT PDS shock

A fully adjustable WP XACT shock offers 289mm of travel, mounted directly to the swingarm using Progressive Damping System technology for genuinely maximum traction and stability.

Subframe

A proven one-piece subframe combines polyamide and glass-fibre-reinforced aluminium in a cutting-edge hybrid design that trims weight while engineering in real rigidity for outstanding control and feedback.

Foot pegs

Large footrests boost grip while shedding mud for assured control, with an advanced mounting design that keeps them less likely to catch on deep ruts so the TC 85 maintains forward momentum.

Components

Graphics

Drawing on Husqvarna’s Swedish heritage, eye-catching white and yellow graphics apply via in-mould technology for a genuinely durable, high-quality finish.

Bodywork

Ergonomic bodywork, scaled precisely to the average 85cc rider, builds confidence with unrestricted movement — slim enough for young riders to grip the TC 85 with their knees for complete control.

Brakes

Floating Formula callipers pair with a 240mm front and 220mm rear Galfer disc for genuinely confidence-inspiring braking in any condition, with Formula master cylinders and hoses adding real performance and durability.

Wheels

Black Excel rims — 17″ front, 14″ rear — lace to CNC-machined hubs with strong spokes for a genuinely light, robust wheelset, fitted with Maxxis Maxxcross MX-ST tyres tuned for straight-line stability, traction and predictability across varied terrain.

Handlebars & grips

Tapered, black-anodised Neken handlebars bring a comfortable, modern bend in high-quality aluminium alloy for genuine vibration damping and stability. Black ODI grips fit securely — the left locked by a small clamp, the throttle side vulcanised on — with a bar pad cushioning the mounts in a heavy landing.

Technology

Airbox

Precisely positioned inlet ducts maximise airflow and filter protection, with the Twin Air filter sitting behind the left side panel for genuinely tool-free, fast replacement.

Cooling

State-of-the-art Pankl radiators, scaled down from Husqvarna’s full-size motocross machines, keep temperatures in check, with coolant also routed through the crankcases and a threaded radiator cap making level checks genuinely easy.

Swingarm

An advanced gravity die-cast process keeps this one-piece swingarm genuinely light while delivering real strength and optimised flex, with clear chain adjustment markings easing maintenance and a durable guide and slider resisting dirt build-up.

Exhaust

A proven manufacturing process delivers maximum power and build quality in this exhaust, with welded seams removed from inside the header pipe and geometry calculated for performance right across the rev range, finished with a black-anodised silencer.
